ADOPTIVE FAMILY SERVICES
We provide post-adoption wraparound services to California adoptive families in need though our contract with Trauma Education Support Services.
We believe that when the stress of everyday life is decreased, family bonding can increase.
We help adoptive families by providing intensive in-home support service that can ease the day-to-day challenges of parenting. Our post-adoption wraparound services include parent coaching, counseling, and ancillary services. Your assigned Trauma Support Expert will assess the unique needs of your family and create a custom plan that addresses your family’s concerns, reduces the number of caseworkers coming into your home, and ultimately allows for healing and family bonding to occur.

Parent Coaching
Parent coaching can help you better understand your child’s thoughts, feelings, and behavior, so that you can have a deeper and more fulfilling connection.
Counseling Services
Gain the tools and insights to manage the usual relational dynamics, as well as the unique dynamics of adoptive or foster care family settings.
Ancillary Services
We provide additional services that allow you to focus on deepening your family’s emotional connection without having to worry about the everyday stressors.
The Expressions of Hope Difference
Each of the adoptive families we work with have different needs and concerns. Our unique approach to post-adoption wraparound services allows us to create a customized plan of action for each family. Some may need an array of our services, while others may only require a select few.
We create a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment for your child to heal and thrive, provide parents with the tools and resources they need to be supportive and present, and reduce everyday stressors that prevent deep emotional connection.
When you work with Expressions of Hope, the progress of your family is not measured by how well your child is being maintained by several rotating providers in the home, but by how well your family is interacting as a whole, allowing you to transition away from the need of so many provider hours and enjoy being a family.
How It Works
We offer intensive in-home, post-adoption wraparound services to adoptive families in need.
Our services include parent coaching, counseling, and other useful services to help families in need. Your assigned caseworker will create a custom plan that best fits your family's needs. Some families only need parent coaching, or just counseling services, while others need a more intensive support plan for their adoptive family.
Parenting doesn’t come without its difficulties, but we are here to help.
You may qualify for services if:
Your child is under the age of 18
Your child was adopted from California
You currently reside in California
You receive or are eligible for the Adoption Assistance Program
Your child hows significant behaviors
Your child has received a diagnosis
Your child is currently is placed outside the home OR has been placed outside your home OR is at risk of placement outside the home (illegal behaviors, 5150, residential treatment)
Or you may be considering dissolving the adoption
